A great game which though it didn’t start well ended with atypical vigour from the Nannas.

A tight 5 contingent (after Gilly cited homeland security concerns) took to the court just after 8.30pm to find an opposition that weren’t really up to the task. The nannas took their time to find a rhythm with an early charge from the opp pushing hinkley into a late challenge in the area. Takeshi almost got a finger to the resulting penalty but it was hit pretty hard (all nanna penalty takers take note). 1 goal down the nannas passing started to emerge, the opposition allowing enough space for some nice cross court balls. DC had a couple of left foot rebound attempts that were going nowhere and one off the post before the Captain sliced a corner across goal for a tap in. 1 a piece at half-time Jim then slammed home from another corner (DC actually passing to Jims left foot for a change). Takeshi made a crucial save to keep the nannas ahead and from there it was pretty much all going the nannas way, some very tight passing, some excellent throw outs from the tokyo terror straight to the feet of the forwards. some lucky finishes and some tight defence (most of the time). notable from my perspective was the amount of time the opposition were giving the nanns to run and pass which was a joy to see. Also a few heated moments (which is strange given Tao wasn’t playing) “do you want it ?, then come on!” while gesturing wildly towards his purple head was the phrase uttered after DC called a member of the other team a dickhead for the forth consecutive violation of his person…
The after match saw another change in clubhouse to the ? in windsor, very good! Beer garden with bamboo cabaña styling and decent food we are led to believe. In a unilateral motion, the 6th of October (the nannas say ‘no to sober’) was decided as the date for the nannas function. schedule = bar, waiters, ?, daytona , ?, poker…

don’t know about these image sizes they’re pretty small. 400px wide – maybe make a popup link to a larger image..? and where are you supposed to use thumbnails ?
do we put stats into seperate custom fields for later analysis, are their any stats i missed.
man, this has taken way too long… the great burden of the mom !

the line spacing is WAY to big
headings too big and I hate Tahoma.
I prefer the open layout on the original subtle without edges and seamless top bar
also think the ‘read more’ tag could be looked at… maybe wait a few more posts…
